Ilaria lives on the grounds of the Le désir de regarded loin project during residencies and installed her atelier within the cabane (cabin) at ZEF – Gare Franche a Saint Antoine, in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille.
On the cabane’s walls the artist arranges the work flow and its traces: photos, preparatory sketches, testimonies, archive images, drawings. During residencies and theatre events the cabane is open to the public. The cabane is where Ilaria meets the district’s inhabitants, project participants, curious passers-by and shares her creations.
To communicate and keep track of the project during her on site sessions she created an artist journal (in single copy) in a fold-out format in collaboration with the illustrator Ettore Tripodi – who accompanies her on the project.
